Electrotechnical laboratory and testing

Electrotechnical laboratory and testing

The company's Operational Department has a state-of-the-art Mercedes-mounted mobile electrotechnical laboratory, which is equipped with modern instrumentation, to ensure high-quality and prompt maintenance of electrical installations of our customers. All equipment and devices have appropriate certificates and undergo annual verification. The employees of the electrical laboratory are authorised to carry out these works that are performed at a high professional level. The electrical laboratory carries out the following measurements and tests:

  • checking the status of protective earthing systems of electrical installations;
  • checking the connection between the earthing electrode and the earthed element;
  • measuring the earthing resistance on main earthing electrodes and the earthing of power mains and equipment;
  • measuring the transition resistance between the earthing electrode and the earthed elements of the protective earthing system;
  • measuring the insulation resistance of electrical equipment and cables;
  • overvoltage tests of electrical equipment working under 10 kV;
  • overvoltage tests of cable lines working under 35 kV;
  • locating the points of fault of cable lines working under 35 kV;
  • adjusting and testing relay protection systems;
  • measuring "phase-zero" loop impedance

The advantage of PE Art-Energo's mobile laboratory is that it can test cross-linked polyethylene insulated cables under 35 kV with very low frequency using a VLF-60KP tester.

After tests, a technical report is provided with the measurement and test data sheets.
